The pistachio harvest is already underway at Loma Pajarera, one of the estates belonging to El Bisabuelo Eladio. The temperatures recorded this summer have accelerated the ripening of the fruit, bringing the harvest forward by approximately ten days compared to the original schedule.
Our technician, who is closely monitoring the season from the farm, has shared some very positive initial impressions regarding both quantity and quality.
A season brought forward by the temperatures
This summer’s high temperatures have brought forward the start of the season by around ten days. This change to the schedule makes it particularly important to determine the right time for harvesting, taking into account the fruit’s stage of ripeness.
More kilos than expected
As for production, expectations are particularly good. Initial estimates suggest that the forecast yield for this season will be exceeded, confirming the plantation’s positive progress.
A high-quality pistachio
The outlook for quality is also excellent. The current harvest timing is ideal for the pistachios’ stage of ripeness and, so far, the weather conditions are favourable.
The good weather is allowing the fruit to remain on the tree in good condition, retaining its organoleptic characteristics until the optimum time for harvesting.
At El Bisabuelo Eladio, we monitor every stage of the season with the same dedication with which we tend our crops throughout the year. Because behind every pistachio lies the land, experience, knowledge and a great deal of hard work.
The 2026 season is progressing with excellent prospects: higher-than-expected production and pistachios that promise to be of the very highest quality.
